The ScoopTips from Tranont working moms

To celebrate Mother’s Day this year, we’re shining the spotlight on a few of the superwomen in our organization! We asked each of them about life as a business owner & mom, and we’re honored to share their heartfelt encouragement, proven advice, fun relaxation tips, and more!

Jordan Brotcke
Sapphire
Post Falls, ID

“My family is the perfect mix of craziness and happiness. I’ve been married to the wonderful & supportive love of my life for almost 10 years. We have two amazing children—Noah, my son, is a sweet & inquisitive soul, and Rayna has the most joyful & vibrant personality. I adore each of them.”

How do you involve your kids in your business?
“My favorite way to include them is in the fun things we get to do because of my business. Like riding around in the summer with the doors & top off of our Jeep. Or taking them on trips and showing them a different culture and experience.”

How has building a Tranont business made you a better mom?
“The personal development and emotional growth I’ve experienced truly make me a better mom. Leadership and communication skills don’t have to be used only in a business setting—they’re an invaluable tool for your family life as well.”

“Tranont products have also helped me become better physically and emotionally able to take care of my family.”

What is your favorite way to relax?
“Sitting in a hot bathtub with a glass of pomegranate juice, shopping & styling outfits for my friends, and reading.”

What are your best time-management or productivity tips for moms?
“Spend focused time in small increments—set a timer for 15 minutes, and during that time, don’t do anything besides focus on work. My kids know that when I set that timer, it’s time for mommy to work. Once the work timer is done, then I set a timer for playing with my kiddos, cleaning the house, etc. Focused time in small increments helps me get so much done.”

Synara Brown
Emerald
Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

“I’ve been happily married for almost 25 years and we’ve got 3 awesome kids. Dylan and Daniel are both at the University of Wisconsin, and Cecilia is a junior in high school. I’ve been in this industry for 19 years and have raised my family around my business.”

How do you involve your kids in your business?
“We have a true family business here at Tranont! Both of my adult sons have positions in my team. Dylan is already a Sapphire and Daniel is a Ruby.”

How has building a Tranont business made you a better mom?
“I’m happier! My time is my own and I schedule my life as I see fit. The joy I have from building a life of my choosing makes me a better person and a better mom.”

“My kids have seen me set goals that I have both hit and missed. There are lessons in both. I’m very proud of the example I’ve set for my kids. I want to show them that I can be an engaged & present mom AND a killer businesswoman. My daughter knows that she can do both, and my sons won’t be intimidated by a successful woman”

What is your favorite way to relax?
“Dinner and drinks on the weekend with friends, traveling the world, having fun with my husband and kids.”

What are your best time-management or productivity tips for moms?
“The first tip is to realize that you CANNOT do it all. Once you acknowledge and resign yourself to that, life gets easier and way more fun! You don’t have to go on every field trip, attend every game, and make Pinterest-worthy Valentines to be an awesome mom.”

“Block the important, non-negotiable family events into your calendar, then work around them.  Remember your business hours are flexible but not optional. Choose the hours you want to work each week, schedule them, then follow through on that commitment.”

Amber Gustowski
Red Diamond
Winnipeg, Manitoba

“My family is my heartbeat. We have 3 beautiful children and they are the biggest reason I love what I do. Years ago, I remember seeing successful moms in this profession doing big things, and it inspired me so much! I thought to myself, why not me?”

How do you involve your kids in your business?
“We carefully communicate with our kids and set goals together. We also plan vacations and fun days together as rewards for our hard work. They love working hard and playing hard together too.”

How has building a Tranont business made you a better mom?
“I feel more confident and empowered. I love showing my kids that they can start from zero and do big things, and I especially love showing my daughter that women are powerful & heart-led!”

“The energy I get from Mojo also makes me a better Mom. I’ll never go a morning without it!”

What is your favorite way to relax?
“Beach vacations, eating charcuterie, and drinking margaritas poolside!”

What advice do you have for other moms building a Tranont business?

“Get solid on your WHY. Remembering the reason you’re doing this is what will get you through the long days.”

“Let the mom guilt go! Remember you’re doing this for your family and for a better you—and that’s priceless.”

“Take care of yourself and remember that you are worthy of it all!”

Kylie Riegler
Black Diamond
Union, Kentucky

“I’ve been married to my husband Chad for almost 13 years, and we have two amazing kids, Brody and Mia. I started in this industry because I wanted to create more family time. The last nine years have given us so many wonderful memories together, and we’ve had so much fun!”

How do you involve your family in your business?
“My husband is my highest supporter, and the kids are a close second! They know all the ranks and leaders and believe in Mommy! They’re always rooting for the next big goal!”

How has building a Tranont business made you a better mom?
“I’ve learned not to give up when things get tough, which flows into so many other areas of life. We always tell our kids they can do anything they set their mind to, and my business allows me to SHOW them it’s true. That’s so important.”

“I have more time to be present than if I worked a traditional 9-5 job. Being with my family is my favorite! I hope they always see that!”

What is your favorite way to relax?
“The bathtub or the beach—I like water and I like warmth!”

What advice do you have for other moms building a Tranont business?
“Go do it already! Your kids deserve the best of you, not the rest of you. Dragging it out isn’t fun, and you won’t reap the rewards as quickly.”

“I’ve realized that balance is a myth, but working hard in seasons has rewarded us with time to spend doing what we love together. My best working hours are when the kids are at school and late at night!”

Crystal Manion
Ruby
Rock Hill, South Carolina

“I’ve been married to my husband Dylan for 14 years and we have two sons, Liam and Lincoln. Mom is my #1 title which is why I love the business opportunity through Tranont—it allows me to work my business in the nooks and crannies of our very active lives.”

How do you involve your kids in your business?
"My family is my biggest support—they love helping me track my progress. Both of my boys love to jump in on photos or videos when I’m creating content for my business, and they absolutely love popping in on calls to say hi to our team.”

“We also love to do Lift Where You Live projects together. Whether it be community trash pickups, creek cleanups, donation drives, etc.—my boys want to be involved.”

How has building a Tranont business made you a better mom?
“Having the freedom to not stress about time off, money, or being available for my family takes so much pressure off me. It helps me be less stressed and focus on being a more cool, calm, and collected mom.”

What is your favorite way to relax?
“Taking a hot bath with candles, bubbles, and spa-like music while praising the good Lord!”

“I love having “lazy bones” days with my kids. We chill, veg out, play board games, watch movies, and just enjoy being together.”
